What's included

WATER IN THE ORLANDO AREA

Orlando water is hard. That is the whole reason this company exists.

Hard water in the Orlando area means chalky scale on faucets and glass shower doors, water heaters and dishwashers working harder than they should, and drinking water that does not taste as good as it could, all from minerals picked up as water moves through Central Florida's limestone aquifer. OUC, drawing from that same aquifer, puts the average hardness of its water at about 129 parts per million.

Which utility actually serves a given address varies. OUC states that it provides water service to residents and businesses within the City of Orlando and portions of Orange County, and Orange County Utilities serves other parts of the county from that same aquifer. Away from either system, some homes are on private wells instead of a public utility at all. None of that is guesswork: the provider name on your water bill, or the fact that you have a well instead of a bill, is what actually determines your water source.

DE Home Services fixes both problems with one package: a whole house water softener that stops scale before it reaches a single fixture, and an under-sink reverse osmosis tap for better-tasting water at the kitchen tap. One package, one price, one visit in most homes, installed by licensed local plumbers who are insured.

Sources: Orange County Utilities: Water Quality; OUC: Water Services. These sources describe the utility and the region; they do not scope or price an individual property.

What changes the price?

Whether the home is on utility water or a private well, how the plumbing enters the house, whether there is room, drain and power near the main, and what the kitchen sink allows. A standard home gets the package price; anything outside standard is quoted in writing before you agree.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

All questions ↗

How much does a water softener and reverse osmosis installation cost?

The whole package is $2,999* with standard installation One whole house water softener, one under-sink reverse osmosis tap, one visit from licensed local plumbers in most homes. *Price is for the softener plus under-sink RO package with standard installation for a suitable utility-water home. Nonstandard plumbing, electrical or access work is quoted before agreement. Tell us your water source and where the kitchen sink sits, and you'll have a firm price before you commit.

Is the price the whole cost?

Yes, for a standard installation, the number you're quoted is the number you pay, with nothing added on install day. If your home needs something outside the standard setup, like extra plumbing or a modified sink, that gets identified and put in writing ahead of time, so the price never changes after the fact.

What is not included in the package?

The package covers the whole house water softener, the under-sink reverse osmosis tap and standard installation, full stop. It does not cover a plumbing loop, relocating a sink, new drain or power lines from elsewhere in the house, or treating private well water, which needs its own testing first; any of that is priced separately, in writing, before it is added.

Does this work with well water?

Not as the standard package. Well water varies too much address to address for a one-size-fits-all setup, so it needs its own testing and a separate treatment plan first. Let us know you are on a well when you reach out, and we will talk through what your water actually needs.

Who does the installation?

Licensed local plumbers who do this every week, coordinated through DE Home Services, LLC, owner-operated by Thomas Doyle and insured. There is no separate pre-installation visit, so the plumber who arrives already has everything needed to finish the job in one appointment.

Am I booking or paying by sending a request?

No, nothing is booked and no payment is taken on this website. A call, a text or the request form gets you a written price for your home, and you decide from there whether to move forward, with no obligation either way.
